ASG specializes in the provision of training for the operators of airborne platforms and ISR sensor systems. ASG’s training programs are structured, comprehensive, and targeted to cover all aspects of operating most airborne sensor systems, as well as those found on land and maritime based platforms, and cover all relevant aspects from basic theory to operational and tactical employment of the airborne vehicle or sensor. Targeted training is available for numerous systems and is delivered by experienced multilingual SMEs who have strong military or law enforcement backgrounds. These courses are highly interactive and enable trainees to gain practical experience applying best practices.
Course structure is developed by an experienced and qualified course design team and utilizes a blended training format employing Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)-conformant e-learning courseware and Computer Based Training (CBT) as well as instructor-led lessons utilizing appropriate simulation or VART software. In addition, the interoperability and tight integration of ASG’s range of aircraft, mission, and equipment simulators, together with the ability to integrate third-party mission training solutions, is designed to satisfy ASG’s vision of a cost-effective, holistic training solution in these varied missions.
The function, operation and employment of ISR systems uses a similar thread across military, governmental and civilian/commercial operations. With customer consultation, courses can be delivered to satisfy an operator’s training needs whether they operate fixed or rotary wing platforms, or if they are using sensors on ground or maritime vehicles. With the ever-expanding field of UAV/UAS operations, the benefits of training for both the system operator and weapons officer can also be catered for.
Courses can be provided at differing levels of complexity, including Basic/Transition and Advanced, and cover the following technologies and operational skill sets: Electro-Optic/Infrared (EO/IR); Electronic Warfare (EW); Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR); Radar; and Acoustics/Anti- Submarine Warfare (ASW).
